We are a consortium of disability organisations and Disabled and Deaf People’s Organisations and disability-focussed infrastructure professionals working to combat eco-ableism in the North East of England.

We want to ensure that the region has an inclusive green transition and that green jobs and infrastructure, environmental wellbeing and climate-conscious behaviour are accessible to disabled people and take into account their needs.

We want to create behavioural change at an individual level and at a structural, systemic level throughout the North East’s disabled community and among major decision makers and planners in the region.

This Mini-Site helps to demonstrate our proposals for a community-led, ground-up approach to local disability advocacy that will ensure an inclusive green transition.
